Springing the Gender Trap

Be one.” – Marcus Aurelius On November 19 International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. One of the six pillars of International Men’s Day is to improve gender relations and promote gender equality for everyone.

AVAWP and partners are hosting a facilitated session of discussion and activity, open to all men across Angus, helping us identify the impact that gender inequality has on all of us.

The session will aim to help you:

  • recognise gender stereotypes and bias for boys and girls, men and women
  • understand the short- and long-term impacts of gender stereotypes and bias on learning; work; relationships etc.
  • support participants to think and act differently about gender

Date: Friday 18 November

Time: 10am to 4pm

Venue: Arbroath Football Club, Gayfield Park, Arbroath
