Advanced Nurse Practitioner – General Practice

Salary Scale: £41,659-£47,672 per annum or Annex 21 Paragraph 2 (i)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Practice Nurse and/or a trainee role working within Annat Bank Practice, Links Health Centre, Montrose.

The post holder will be an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care. They will demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for unscheduled patients presenting to general practice.

The post holder will be part of the triage model of care undertaking telephone consultation and advice calls as well as participate in the daily house visits to patients.

The post holder will work with the wider practice team to delivery high quality care, with continuous evaluation and quality improvement by developing innovative concepts, models and practices to meet the changing needs of our practice.

You will work with the management team to develop services and implement tests of change aimed at realising the practice development plan and the RCGP 2022 vision for General Practice.

This is a new role within our practice and the post holder will recognise the challenges of delivering a new service to patients. The post-holder is a key member of the Annat Bank multi disciplinary team, through which Advanced Nurse Practitioners will be required to deliver care that was previously provided only by GPs.

We welcome applications from experienced registered nurses who have a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Nursing Practice and hold a V300 non medical prescribing qualification (120 credits (PgDip)) for the substantive post.

Or a training position (Annex 21 Paragraph 2 (i)) while working towards a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Nursing and V300 non medical prescribing qualification.  The practice will support you through this journey.

Hours of work are:  37.5 hours per week with an 8am start
